6 Months Old

I can’t believe Lola is 6 months, it’s going by so fast. She still is a generally happy baby, though we have had a horrible month in the sleeping dept (praying it is just a phase, I think she spoiled us early on when she started sleeping through the night at 2 months). Lola is starting to sit up and still toothless. She whines when she wants something, which generally has to do with food. If she sees her bottle in the making, you better get ready for a fit. She has also started to notice everything we eat or drink, she tries to grab it all. Funny thing, she always hums every time she eats baby food (Andrew also did this as a baby). She has eaten everything, even peas and green beans.

We are headed to Atlanta in the morning for Christmas with my family. Then off to West Virginia for a little snow skiing vacation. We are driving in a 12 passenger van with my whole family, pray for us or them (Lola’s first road trip)…

Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Opryland

We made it out to Opryland this past weekend to see all the lights, decorations & the water show. I remember there being more lights & decorations last time I went at Christmas, but it was still really pretty. Lola just sat back in her stroller and took everything in, I think she enjoyed herself.

Lola has not been as enamored with the Christmas tree & lights as we thought she would be. She only goes for the presents under the tree. If she is on the floor, somehow she makes her way to the presents. Below is what I usually find…

HO, HO, HO!

Lola & Santa (someone needs to tell me where the cheap, dollar store Santa is. We went to Green Hills Mall out of convenience and spent $14.99 + tax for one photo). It’s awfully cute though!

Your It!

I have been doubled tagged (Tracy, Casey). I am supposed to pick my 4th picture from my 4th folder and explain, then tag 4 more people. So here goes! This is a photo of Lola when she was about 5-6 weeks old. It was after her first trip to church. I so wanted a sweet little picture in her dress, well this is what I got. I tag Joni, Lori, Angie & Chris Anne.

O Christmas Tree & More

We have had our tree up for a week or so now. I thought Lola would be more fascinated with the lights, but she goes straight for the bows on the presents! Here are a few photos of her helping decorate the tree.

Really?

Lola is still loosing so much hair. Every morning when I get her out of her crib, there is a big pile of hair left on the sheet! When will it stop falling out?

Thanksgiving

We had a super Thanksgiving holiday, filled with family and food. We were in Nashville for Thanksgiving Day, and then headed to Atlanta on Friday for the weekend (after I woke up Friday morning at 4 am to go shopping). Lola enjoyed her first helping of sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving Day, we could not feed her fast enough.

We have so much to be thankful for this year, God has so richly blessed our family. I am especially thankful for Wanda. Wanda was Andrew’s grandfather’s wife and she passed away last Friday. She was such a kind and caring person that had a special place in her heart for the disabled. I always loved the fact that Wanda was never afraid to get her hands dirty. She was always working around the house or on the farm. I am so happy she was able to spend a little time with Lola. She will be greatly missed.
