Quack...Quack...

Have you ever seen a cuter duck??? Lola loved her Halloween costume and actually loved wearing it, with no fuss.

On Wed, we had trunk or treat at church. Lola was defiantly into all the action and did not mind wearing her costume one bit. She weaved in and out of the crowds caring her pumpkin bucket and was as happy as could be for the most part. Then she realized what was in her bucket ... CANDY!

On Friday we had a party with several of her friends. She had a great time and loved being with all the other kids.

On Halloween night we made a few stops at family/friends houses and Lola really started to understand the whole 'trick or treat' concept (all I have to do is walk up to people and they put candy in my bucket....hmmm).

My cousin, Wendy, had a baby boy two weeks ago. Jake is adorable, baby & mommy are doing well! We are so excited for their family.

Cookies!

One afternoon last week I decided to let Lola help me make homemade cookies for the first time. Since it was fall, we tried a new pumpkin, raisin, & oatmeal recipe that turned out to be wonderful. She loved all the stirring, pouring, & mixing action. It went way better than I expected and she even stood at the oven and patiently watched them bake. All that patience was gone once the cookies came out of the oven. I think she thought since she helped make them, she was supposed to eat all the cookies. She had several major meltdowns why they were sitting on the counter cooling. I finally gave her one and had to hide the rest of the cookies on a plate in the microwave. If they were left sitting out at all she would spot them and the whining would begin! What can I say, the girl loves sweets!

Discovery Museum

Last Friday Andrew took the day off work and we took Lola to the Children’s Discovery Museum in Chattanooga. This was such a neat museum and she had a blast, we loved having Daddy with us all day! After the museum, Nana met us in Chattanooga and took Lola to Atlanta for the weekend. Andrew & I stayed in Chattanooga for a relaxing weekend, it was wonderful. Lots of sleep, food, & football.

Gentry's Farm

Last Saturday we headed out to Gentry’s Farm with Lola. She loved all the animals they had for the kids to look at. Especially all the chickens running around, she chased them everywhere yelling ‘ducks’. We all enjoyed the hayride around the farm, Lola sat in Andrew’s lap the entire ride. She loved seeing all the ‘moos’ (cows) in the field. Looking forward to Halloween!

I'm out!

Just chillin'

She loved this tractor. There were about 10 just like this and she kept going from one to the other.

My cousin Ashley, her husband Josh, & my Aunt Carol were in town visiting and joined us at the farm, here we are on the hayride.

Fall is here!

We are loving fall, it’s amazing what nice weather will do for your attitude. We have been enjoying the outdoors, parks, walks, zoo, football, etc.

I found this Bama cheerleading outfit at a consignment a few months back. She wore it this past Saturday and surprised Andrew. He could not believe how girly she looked. Not like a baby, but a little girl!

Andrew’s aunt made Lola this adorable fall dress with pumpkins and leaves on it, it’s precious.

On Sunday, after Lola was dressed for church she ran in her room and got her Bible off the night side table all by herself, it was like she just knew! So, we let her ‘read’ it in the car on the way to church. She did a little ‘reading’ and once we got to church we noticed she had actually bitten off a chunk of her Bible, she really likes her Bible!

On Monday, Lola and I headed to the Monkey’s Treehouse to play with a few friends. This place was amazing! There were so many things for Lola to do, it is the ultimate toddler entertainment center. We are looking forward to many more trips here in the future.

Just thought this was a funny pic, Lola and Bryce doubled up in the stroller!

Can you tell me how to get....

…to Sesame Street. Lola loves the Elmo, Big Bird & Cookie Monster characters I bought out of the dollar bin at Target. Love that place. She carries them all over the house with her, it’s so cute!

Learning to feed myself

First pair of Chuck Taylors

On Sunday we went to Centennial Park to feed the ducks. We were unsuccessful, but did happen upon the fall craft fair. Next, we headed to the dragon play ground near Vanderbilt, Lola loved it!

We started brushing Lola's teeth this week. She went with me to CVS and picked out her Elmo tooth brush & paste, she was so excited!

I had a baby shower for Leslie at my house this past weekend. It was so good to see everyone and I had so much fun with the girls.

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

Today we had an almost totally dry day! We spent most of the afternoon & evening outdoors and it was wonderful. We have been pretty cooped up the last week and needed some fresh air. Here are a few recent photos.
