30 Weeks & The Beach

Andrew & I were lucky enough to take one last vacation together before Lola arrives. We headed to the beach last week for some much needed R&R. The weather was perfect and the beach was beautiful. I think I even slept through the night one night, no bathroom breaks! For all those requesting a photo, here is a 30 week shot. Not the best photo I have ever taken, so be easy! I had a doctor’s appointment Wednesday and everything was well, Lola is measuring right on schedule!

Birthday Party & Bird Problems!

This past Sunday we had a birthday cookout for Andrew’s parents at our house after church. Their birthdays are within a month of each other, so we had a joint celebration. We had a great time with family and food. Happy Birthday Marsha & David!
Okay, so now to the birds. Well, the weather was beautiful, so most of the birthday festivities were out on our deck. In the 2-3 hours everyone was there, I know at least 3 people were pooped on by a bird. We have never had any problems with anything like this, so I was shocked and felt awful (apologies again to all victims). Well, since Sunday, the problem has worsened; our deck and cars are covered with bird poop. I caught Jack (our dog) sitting under the table outside yesterday and I am convinced that he was dodging the bird droppings. Has anyone had this problem before??? Here is a photo, you can’t tell much, but believe me, it is everywhere.

Anyways, on a cleaner note, here are the fabric swatches for the nursery. Hopefully I will get everything to her this week to begin the project. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

Meet Mable

I just love puppies! My brother and his wife Kristen just got a black lab puppy named Mable. She is just too cute , so I had to post a few pics.

Long Time, No Post

Sorry it’s been a while since I have posted anything, we have been really busy. This weekend we were in Atlanta visiting my family, it’s always nice to go home. Mom and I even had time to fit in pedicures, it’s not easy painting your toenails when pregnant. While there we went to a wedding reception for my cousin Ashley. Josh and Ashley were married in Colorado a few months ago, but had the reception in Atlanta this weekend. Congrats to Josh and Ashley!

We have also picked out baby furniture, bedding fabric and started the nursery. Here is a pic of Andrew and Uncle Nate doing a little painting. Yes the nursery is tan and brown, I just can’t handle pink walls! I will post a few pictures of the progress we make in the coming weeks.
