Two Months

We have reached 2 months, which means SHOTS! We went today and she did really well, I think Mommy was more upset. She is a very happy baby at 2 months, sleeping wonderfully (10:00 pm to 6:00 am last night, then went back down and slept until 8:45 am after that). She loves the morning time right after she wakes up and is all smiles then. Her bouncy seat is her favorite toy and mine too. She just coos and giggles when she is sitting in it. Stats are as follows:

Weight 11 lb 10 oz (75%)
Height 22 ¾ inches (70%)
Head 15 inches (45%)

Life is good, we are leaving for the beach tomorrow morning. Hopefully Hurricane Fay will pick up a little speed and move on by the FL coast! I am not looking forward to driving through all the winds and rain, but hoping we can time it right. I will post beach pictures when we return.

Itty Bitty

So a few weekends ago Andrew, Lola & I ventured out to Columbia, TN to visit Itty Bitty. My friend Elizabeth just opened the cutest children’s clothing store there and let me tell you, it is well worth the drive. Below are a few photos of Lola from church yesterday, she is wearing a dress I bought at Itty Bitty. Check out Liza’s blog for more info and photos of the store.

Check out the below photograph….notice anything??? I am wearing jeans. Last night was the first time I have wore jeans since I had Lola. And yes, these are pre-pregnancy jeans. They defiantly did not fit the same and it wasn’t necessarily a comfortable experience, but I wore them! This is a huge accomplishment for me.

Lola Olympics

So, we have been watching the Olympics a good bit at night this week. Lola has really enjoyed her first Olympic experience, really getting into the festivities. Go USA! Well, this morning she decided to have her own trials, the ‘tummy time’ raise your head and hold it up competition. The first few photos are in warm up, she is all smiles, getting mentally prepared.

Next, you will see her 3 official tries, the last photo was caught during the landing.

Congrats!

Aunt Kristen will be starting her first year teaching tomorrow at Meigs Middle School. We are so excited for her and wish her good luck! Here is a photo of Kristen & Lola outside her classroom. Watch out for those middle school girls, that has to be the most awkward age ever.

We Survived!

We had a great trip to Atlanta, Lola was so good. She slept the whole way down and most of the way back. On Saturday we visited with friends and family, my Grandparents on my Mother’s side we able to come and meet Lola for the first time. On Sunday afternoon, my mother thought we were headed back to Nashville, but Andrew dropped Lola and me off at my brother, Jonathan’s house for the night. On Monday, there was a surprise party at my Mom’s work honoring her for working at the company for 25 years (can you imagine working at the same place that long??). Lola, my Dad, Jonathan & I showed up at the surprise party and my Mom was shocked, she really thought Lola & I were back in Nashville. We stayed in Atlanta until Wednesday afternoon, it was such a good visit. I was so sad to leave, but glad to be back at home. Below are a few photos from the trip.

My Mom & Lola at her surprise party. Out of the 60 to 70 people there, my mom spots her grandbaby right off the bat.

One of my parent’s dogs, Charlie had to be wherever Lola was. He was always trying to get up next to her and lay beside her.

Family Photo

One of my Mom’s friends gave me an antique baby carriage for Lola to play with one day. It’s really cute so I thought I would try and get a picture of Lola sitting in the carriage, she had other ideas! I just love crying photos.
