Here we go!

We are headed to Atlanta tomorrow to visit my family, first road trip with a baby. Somehow I think traveling will never be the same again! It will be the first time for many family & friends to meet Lola, I am so excited. It’s also my Dad’s birthday, so we will be celebrating.

Grumpy Pants & The Flip

Here is a video of Lola I took a few weeks ago, I am just now finding time to upload it. She was so mad at me for waking her up, she just sat here with this face forever. I took the video with our new video camera ‘The Flip’. The Flip is awesome! It is smaller than my regular camera, it is so easy to use and there is no software or wires involved. The Flip plugs directly into your computer, it is so easy. I guess you can tell it is one of my new favorite things!


Here are the fabulous photos of Lola we took on our very first church outing. The photos are bad, but she was so good, slept through the whole service.

One Month

I can’t believe Lola is one month old! She has really started to fill out compared to the one week photo. Things are still going good, we have the occasional bad day/night, but I can handle that. I also attached a few face shots that I took this morning, she is so happy in the mornings (she MUST get that from her father).

Date Night

So Andrew & I went on our first ‘date’ Friday night. I do not really think it’s considered a date once you are married, it’s just dinner and running some errands, but anyways….We went to eat sushi (first time I have had sushi in almost a year), then did a little shopping and ended the night with a trip to Maggie Moo’s (exactly what I need right now, fat filled ice cream). Maggie has raised her prices a little bit, it cost us almost $10 for ice cream and we used a coupon (I have become cheap as a mom). Andrew’s parents kept Lola and she did great. I remembered to pack the camera to take photos of all these events, but forgot to take a single picture,
On Saturday we ventured out to the pool, my first post pregnancy bathing suit experience (defiantly didn’t take photos of this)! It was nice and relaxing, I laid on a float and read a magazine, life actually felt normal. The rest of the weekend was pretty quiet. I got out of the house on Sunday afternoon for trips to my usual, Target & Babies R Us. Below are a few recent photos. I love the first one of Lola’s grumpy face, her little personality is really starting to come out.

We had our 2 week doctor visit on Friday and all is well. She measured 50% in all categories, weighing in at 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 ¼ inches long. Here are a few photos from the past week.

Cousins

Last week we had a few visits from out-of-town cousins, below are pics. We had such a good time meeting everyone. Things are still going really well with Lola, she is a sweetie! She is 2 weeks today, time is a flyin’ by. We have our 2 week doc appt on Friday, I will post stats then. Here is a photo favorite, she just loves bath time.

On Tuesday my cousins Kim & Wendy stopped by with their kids Reece, Abby & Kate. Kim and her kids Reece & Kate live Mississippi.

On Saturday my cousin Brian, his wife Alicia and their son Beau came up from Atlanta and spent the weekend in Nashville.

1 Week Old!

I can’t believe it’s been one full week since Lola was born. It has gone by so fast, you really have to cherish every single second spent with her. She is still being such a good baby, last night she went a little over 4 hours between feedings. I will have to say I am a little sad the first week is over, but can’t wait for the weeks to come, she is so much fun. Here are a few ‘first’ photos.
