8 Months

My big girl is 8 months, and boy do I mean BIG. Lola loves to eat and is growing so fast. She tries to crawl, but seems to only goes backwards. This makes her so mad as she gets further away from whatever she wants and usually ends up in a mild fit. Her bottom teeth are really big and the top 2 in the front are just breaking the skin. She loves to throw her passie out of her crib at bedtime, we usually hear it hit the ground, followed by a few tears. She will not let us cuddle or rock her at nap/bedtime anymore, she just wants to be laid down. I guess this is a good thing, but it makes me kind of sad (I love cuddling her). She loves singing, music and Baby Einstein DVD’s. When she watches her DVD’s, she sits in the floor, puts her hands on her knees and leans forward, watching the TV so intently, totally focused! It’s hilarious! She loves her toys, and most of the time she is totally content sitting on the floor and playing by herself.

Lola & I are heading to Atlanta on Thursday morning. My Mom is having surgery on her neck this Friday and we will be there for at least a week to help out. Please keep my Mom in your prayers!

Busy Week

Okay, first off, this is a cute picture of Lola… but look at Andrew in the background. What is he doing? Hilarious!

We have had a busy week. Last weekend Lola & I headed to the beach with my parents, it was a Valentine’s Day surprise for my Mom. We had a great time shopping, it rained the whole time. I think it is my first trip to the beach where I didn’t actually make it to the beach!

On Wednesday we headed to Columbia to visit with my friends Lori & Elizabeth and their children. Lori was in town from Texas with her lil 4 month old Colt. We had a great time and even fit in a little time for shopping too!

Lola is into eating anything she can pick up with her hands, her new favorite is apple slices. She also loves tottering around the house in her walker. Nothing new on the crawling front, we still only crawl backwards.

She loves playing and whining back in forth with Jack, they are becoming quick friends.

Sunny Days

The weather is great in Nashville, I think it is getting up to 72 today! We have been outdoors all weekend; walks, swinging and our first trip to The Nashville Zoo. The Zoo was lots of fun, it was a little windy outside though. The big highlight was the indoor aquarium. Lola loved getting up close to all the fish & turtles. Can’t wait for Spring!
