Christmas with Family

We were in Nashville on Christmas Day this year with Andrew’s family. We had wonderful celebrations with amazing food on Christmas Eve & Day.

Christmas Morning

Well…Santa came! We had a wonderful Christmas day and such a fun Christmas morning. Lola was all into her kitchen that Santa left, she was so cute the first time she saw it. She stopped in her tracks and said ‘hmmm’. She loves cooking, stirring, and dumping all of the food out of the refrigerator.

Cookies for Santa

On Christmas Eve we made sugar cookies for Santa. I think Lola’s favorite part was adding the red sprinkles.

lots of sprinkles

She had to ‘taste’ one to make sure they were good enough for Mr. Claus.

we sat them out by the tree for Santa and she was dying to ‘taste’ another one

SANTA!

This week I took Lola to see Santa at the mall. We waited in line for about 30 minutes and she was so excited. Once it was our turn, we went up and talked to Santa, looked at his beard and glasses, etc. She was clapping and saying 'Ho, Ho'. All that changed as soon as I sat her in Santa's lap. She sat in his lap for less than 10 seconds, and somehow the lady snapped 5 photos. They were all bad, so I decide to choose the last one, which was the worst of the bunch. As soon as she started fussing I went to get her and she was excited again saying 'Ho, Ho'. Maybe next year!

Elmo Live!

A few Sunday nights ago we took Lola to see Elmo Live! She did great and loved the whole thing. We bought her a Sesame Street ball and some popcorn. The whole first half, she sat in her chair amazed. She clapped, screamed 'Elmo' repeatedly and danced the whole time. At intermission she did a lil running around and was all hyped up. So she stood up and danced the 2nd part of the show. I am not sure who had a better time, Lola or Andrew & I watching her have fun!….

O Christmas Tree

Lola was a little unsure about the whole 'buying a tree' process

Once we got home, she helped Dada put the new tree stand together

She loved looking at and playing with all the ornaments

And of course, she is all about trying to pull the ornaments off the tree

All done!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving in Atlanta this year. We just hung out at the house with family on Thursday and ate tons of wonderfull food. Friday we went shopping and that night cousin Beau came over to play with Lola. All around, it was a perfect holiday. We have so much to be thankful for!
